It's July 4th weekend! Picnic, fireworks and... shopping! I am not sure why we retailers pick holidays to have a sale, but we do. And do we have a great one planned for you! First, let me tell you that we are open on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Saturday we will have shortened hours, opening at 9:30am and closing at 2pm. On Sunday, we will have our regular noon to 4pm hours.

Threee cheers for our Fourth of July! ... Here's a great quick project to get you in the spirit. It's called Liberty Belle and we have it in a fantastic little Kit!! Next time you are in, you'll notice these little brown bags called Snap Sacks. These are fast fun little projects for people who love the satisfaction of speedy little projects. We have many different styles and colors. This just happens to be appropriate for the Fourth, so I thought I would feature it. Come and check them out!

You are, like, totally my BFF. For sure. .... Oh, I'm certain Jenna just rolled her eyes. So, maybe valley girl isn't in anymore... but bags sure are! Our BFF Club has been hot hot hot. Today I present to you the latest in the line of our BFF projects and a class to go with it. I also want to tell you about a new session of a new favorite bag from last month... and I would like to present a Catch Up class we just scheduled for August... May I? Why, thank you. Totally.

The latest in our line of BFF projects is the Brentwood Bag. This pattern is by Pink Sands Design (They are named after the pink beaches of Bermuda. How can you not like that already!?) We have it here in some fun fabrics that happens to available in the store. But you can do it in anything. This bag is great because it has a top zipper and an outside hidden pocket. And because the first class filled so quickly, we are offering a second session of last month's Bow Tucks class. I still love that name.

And now let me tell you about the upcoming August BFF class. Instead of featured a new pattern, we are going to offer you a Catch Up Class for BFF projecs. Isn't that smart!? (It was Jan's idea :-)... So if you started one of the BFF bags and need a little help (or a reason) to finish it.... or you miss one of the classes the first time around, this session is for you!

Join Jan in the BFF Catch Up class where you can work on any of the BFF projects we've already offered (Tulip Bag, Town and Country Metro Bag, Sonoma Swing Bag, Bow Tucks, or Brentwood). Get assistance or just spend an evening sewing... Either way sign up for this great class!

Now, let me present a kit and project that is already creating a stir. It is called Spruce It Up. We have it here in the beautiful blues from Hoffman's Christmas collection. In a simple but very effective pattern, these fabrics make a wonderfully striking quilt. And, you know, I decorate with silver and white on our tree.... I think I know where it will be in December! If you need one of your own, we have it available in kits both in the store and online. The kit includes the fabrics you need to make the quilt top and the pattern (plus we through in a little guide from Cozy on how to cut the fat quarters.)

But wait... if you want the pattern (and it looks equally good in reds and greens) you can get it for free, just for completing a transaction of $60 or more with us this weekend. It's a great pattern. We've already had to reorder it!

First.... let's talk fat quarters... the girls have been cutting and bundling fools, creating such wonderful fat quarter bundles that I'm not sure how long they will last!

First there is the Hoffman collection of Christmas fat quarters. Each bundle has 13 fat quarters. So yummy! Notice the first one is the blues used in the Spruce it Up Quilt? All are available online.

Now this isn't Hoffman at all... this one is from Benartex. It is a collection of 28 fat quarters from the Susan Winget collection called Once Upon a Christmas. Do you see how they are folded into stars. Soooooo cute! I don't really need to mention the Christmas Club again, do I?

And it isn't just Christmas they have been fat quartering.... look at this soft and sweet pastel line. Most of the fabrics (if not all) are from the Moda line called whispers.

And since it is July, perhaps I should feature some fun summer fabrics....

I made a small boo boo in my last email. I included a coupon with a expiration date the same as the day of the email! That means you would need a time machine to actually use it. (And if you have a time machine, let's talk.) So this week, I have extended it out until July 9! That should give you some time.
