Groups at Cozy Quilt Shop
Cozy Quilt Appliquérs of San Diego County
Margaret Applegate is leading our chapter of the Appliqué Society here at Cozy Quilt Shop. The mission is to promote, to teach, and to encourage the love of all types of appliqué in quilting. We welcome all appliquérs of all levels. You are welcome to attend a meeting and see if this is something for you! Check the class schedule for meeting dates and times.
Strip Club
Want to join a strip club? We have one that is fun! Once a month we will meet and make projects for 2½" strips of fabric. You can purchase our strip bundles (details at the store) or bring your own 2½" strips. There is no charge to participate, but reservations are necessary as space is limited. Classes are free.
Lecture Only Don't have time for a class? Come to our Strip Club lecture held one Saturday a month. Get a free pattern and a quick overview of the project directions. It will be the same project that meets on Fridays, but without the sit and sew time. Learn a new pattern and then head home to sew! Lectures are FREE and the FREE pattern is included! Check the class schedule for meeting dates and times.
Thimbleberries Club
Lynnette Jenson, the designer of the Thimbleberries fabric and patterns, has created a new look for this year's Thimbleberries Club. There will be two projects — Sunrise in light spring colors and Sunset in the colors we've grown to love from Lynnette. Both of the projects will be presented to members as six-month block-of-the-month during Club meetings. Sunrise will start in February and Sunset in August.
Club meetings will be fun, social activities with door prizes, show and tell, and lots of Thimbleberries energy. Membership includes six monthly patterns and the ability to purchase other offerings exclusive to the Club such as the new Thimbleberries book coming in the spring.
Members will also be able to purchase fabric kits. You are expected to use Sunrise/Sunset fabric and you must be a Thimbleberries Club member at Cozy Quilt Shop to participate. Enrollment for the Sunrise project will begin directly after the informational meeting on January 8th at 9:30am. And enrollment is limited so don't hesitate if you are interested.
There is a $25 membership fee per series of six sessions. Membership closes before the first session. Check the class schedule for meeting dates and times.
